It is christmas eve but would be difficult to tell here as city is running normally and the team have headed for the boat park hoping to launch about lunchtime. Things starts shutting up about 2pm. There was masses of wind last night which is not of much use to us but we did wonder why Harry and Tom tied their boat down
Yesterday team were struggling to get their heads around persistent shifts in the southern hemisphere. Sun protection a major issue and the forcast for today is 34C by 4pm and in the thirties most days next week. Jonny and Neil went out looking very pale in their suncream today . The sun is so strong that Henriette caught it a little through her long sleeved team kit shirt which she never took off all day . Pete Colvin is off to source a sun umbrella for jonny's rib . Neil has found the ice packs in the container so that might help keep the drinks cooler .
At breakfast Ed delighted in telling me how some of the boys had found themseleves in a brothel by mistake last night . The story is that they backed out rapidly as soon as the realised where they were but we have enjoyed ragging them about it.
Jonny and my rooms are over the BA underground so we get woken up every morning when the first trains start running at 6am so maybe a lie in for us tommorrow . Mike who is next door of course sleeps through the trains
I have to research midnight mass for allthose wanting to go tonight and we think there will be fireworks down at Puerto Madero tonight. So it will be mossie cream instead of suncream
We know that some our most avid followers are from the Optimists and we wish them well with their packing today and their long trip to Malayasia . we will be following their blog .
Many thanks for the blog posts. The Oppie team got away this morning - Santa hats and all. They're in the air at the moment. Malaysia Airlines were fab - much more helpful than some british airways we could mention :-)
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to everyone in BA!!
Cheers
