We are so confused here that we have just had to have a discussion about what day of the week it is ..
Today we have the practice race starting at 15.00 hrs . Before that we have to have the final measurement checks when all the boats are rigged and checked .Team are heading for the boat park at middle day . Sailors have discovered the laundry round the corner at 23 pesos for a large basket so we should all be very sweet smelling. Christmas tree is down and regatta focus and nerves are starting .Coaches are being a little restless as they are just waiting to get started . They have their top secret motivational video for the team tonight.

Last night's opening ceremony was informal and pretty short as these things go which was great. We were between the Germans and the Greeks but the Greeks obviously went for an early night and nobody came, so we thought we should help them out .

We had the Italians behind us . We then went to the marque where we had white bread sandwiches without crusts and delicous barbacue steak rolls. Team leaders were a little frantic about the beer being handed out but someone tried to convince us that it was alcohol free.. I am glad to say that GBR are too terrified of the "alcohol tzar" to even think about it . The biggest challenge for everyone was the mosquitoes but the organsisers issued cans of "OFF" the local Aerosol Replente de Insectos.
