office hours

its 9pm and the office is still open so while coaches are still talking to sailors I am can write up to day ( it closed while we had some supper)

sailors got on the water after a postponement.  interesting tally system they have here . neil learnt his lesson on suncream and worked hard at it and most of the sailors seemed to have been ok today certainly no worse. Sarah and Georgie got on the water today for the first time.

The germans arrived to day they are staying  in the Holiday Inn and unpacked all their containers. carla found acopy of the BA herald today and learnt that the power ut we had is one of several going on all over the city becuase of the heat wave and the overloaded air conditioning

This evening the city is eerily quiet with almost no traffic . The argentina sailors told us that they will meet up and go out with their friends and do presents and fireworks tonight and then have a meal with their families tomorrow.

Our plans for Christmas   day are to do fitness at 8am followed by breakfast and a briefing here at 9.30 am .. as we are three hours behind you any calls at 10 am uk time will be 7am here.. we will then go sailing before finishing early and going downto puerto madero for dinner and secret santa . Wemight not be going anywhere if we cant solve our fuel problem.. seems like the club are not organsing anything and as we have no vehicle we could be in the same problems as ISR. But we have our secret weapon ...neils bike ..

Jess has erected the Christmas tree in the office and after some confusion about power and earths etc we have lights as well.

  1. Merry Christmas to everyone. I am glad you are coping manfully with the heat. It was -15 in Shrewsbury last night and is forecast to be only -9 at midday today. The river Severn has frozen.

Wishing you all a memorable Christmas Day (keep those photos coming)

    Cheers
    Howard
